1. Joaquin Phoenix was better in ‘Walk the Line’ than Jamie Foxx was in ‘Ray’. He deserved to win the Best Actor Oscar – pity he was up against such stiff competition.
2. I will simply never tire of re-watching Steve Carrell and the gang sing and dance at the end of ‘The 40 Year Old Virgin’.
3. Asrani has aged well and is still funny – noticed this from ‘Ball & Chain’ – which is a kinda lame movie.
4. I really want an authentic 100% silk kimono.
5. Randhir Kapoor really reminds me of a big white cuddly teddy bear.
6. Ziyi Zhang (above in ‘House of Flying Daggers’) is a fantastic actress. And the rest of the cast of ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’ is terrific as well.
7. They gave Reese Witherspoon a very cute wardrobe in ‘Walk the Line’. I doubt even the real June Carter Cash worse such fab clothes. Her hair is fab too. And Reese is adorable.
8. Daniel Craig is a really good actor. He actually (to my surprise) makes a good Bond.
9. I am amazed that Amitabh Bachchan can have made so many movies and still be so enthusiastic about film-making.
10. I need to get some more RD Burman music.

Amen to RD Burman! He was my first love in Bollywood music and he remains my favorite to this day. Nothing compares with the sizzling combination of a Asha's voice singing a Pancham song.
Have you listened to much of RD's father SD Burman? He had a very different style from RD but in his later work, he credited RD as "assistant music director" and you can really hear RD's own sound developing in SD's later work. *Jewel Thief* is my favorite example.
I'm definitely with you on Walk the Line and Joaquin Phoenix .. No offense to Mr. Foxx, but Mr. Phoenix did a much better job playing Johnny then he did Ray, and the movie was loads better too
Hi, I think I actually watch more Bollywood than Hollywood. Our daughter is the real movie buff in our family.
I thought Joaquin Phoenix was outstanding in Walk The Line. I haven't seen Ray, so can't make a valid comparision.
Reese Witherspoon is always a favorite and a real sweetheart. Sweet Home Alabama was good and I loved the Legally Blonde movies.
I agree, the Big B always appears enthusiastic when being interview about his latest film.
Steve Carrell has an annoying TV show here in the USA so I haven't made much of an effort to see his movie.
Anyway, that's my two cents worth.
@carla: I have never heard of RD Burman's father... but now you've got me all curious and everything. I've read your review of 'Jewel Thief' and the interesting discussion about the plot. Now I will have to search for it. Thanks.
@reel fanatic: Yes, I also agree that 'Walk the Line' was a much better film than 'Ray'. Like you said, not to take anything away from Jamie and his movie, but 'Walk the Line' definitely raised the bar several notches higher. Thanks for stopping by!
@alan: Yes, like you, I definitely watch A LOT more Bollywood than anything else. I'm pretty selective about Hollywood these days. You should see 'Ray' if you get a chance, its a good film with solid performances and great music.
I liked Reese in 'Sweet Home Alabama' and her film with Matthew Broderick (the one in which he's a teacher and she basically tortures him) - forget what it's called right now... I really liked the first 'Legally Blonde' film, but the sequel bored me. 'Walk the Line' is now my favourite Reese performance.
Is the annoying Steve Carrell show 'The Office'? I really like the British 'The Office' - it's hilarious - never seen the US one though. 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' is a silly comedy with lots and lots of coarse/rude humour, but I really like certain aspects of it. Carrell was really funny in it, I think.
Hmm. I have to differ with you on the whole Ray thing. I think they both did so great in the movies but i much prefer Jamie's delivery. I adore Joaquin though. Walk the Line was really a great flick. Memoirs of a geisha was just sooooo fabulous... We need to go and see another flick soon
Daniel Craig, is a really good actor. He actually (to my surprise) makes a good Bond...(words by Daddy's girl)
And He made lots of money for the Bond 007 Dynasty
Amitabh Bachchan, I am still a die hard. I am happy his son is doing well also. Personally, I think he is my Bollywood - James Bond.
Reese Witherspoon ,She just looks cute in anything...loved her in Sweet home Alabama and she truly deserves the Oscar for her role in Walk the Line .
@uzo: Oh yes we do.. any suggestions?
@9ja opeke: Yes, you're so right, I'm sure the owners of the franchise are extremely happy with Mr. Craig! I know, Amitabh Bachchan is simply 'the man'. I always love watching his performances.
I found your site through a comment you left somewhere else...don't remember now. Anyway, I love it, because I agree with almost everything you say! Even your lists of favorite actors and actresses are almost identical to mine. Hmm. :)
Anyway, just wanted to say hi since I'll probably become a frequent visitor.
