So exciting, in fact, that I can't be quiet about it a minute longer...
I'm planning a trip to India!!
This year!!
With my fellow fan of all things Indian.
It'll take A LOT (a whole lot) of planning, scrimping, saving, and micro-managing; but I am determined to make it happen.

Wow! Best of luck with your plans (take me with you? Pleeeeease? ;) ). If you meet you-know-who, will you drag him away from Ash and send him my way? Thanks :D
I pray it does come to pass...you truly deserve it. And it will be so much fun since you'll not be going alone. Just make sure when you go you take lots of pictures...And also thank you for coming by my blog to visit...I truly felt your present.
Fantastic! When are you going? Where are you going? My advice is...don't freak out. I was given and read all sorts of very scary-sounding advice about being in India, and while it's good to be cautious whenever you go someplace new, don't fret it. My experience was that everyone was really, really nice and people were more than helpful. I mean, don't be an idiot, but don't stres. You'll have a great time!
FUUUUN!!!
Keep us updated on the details! I am insanely jealous and frantically saving money to something equally daring myself...
@maja: I'd LOVE to take you with me - that way we can think up the perfect plan for getting him to agree to leave with us! You'd be so much more convincing! And I could stave off Ash while you talked him into it! LOL! Thanks for the wishes, I'll need all the luck I can get to pull this off!
@opeke: Thanks so much, I hope it does too. I posted this here as my way of 'writing it down and making it plain' - I'm sure you know what I mean. Will keep you posted.
@beth: So far, we know we're going around August, but we're still working on the itinerary. There are too many places to visit and too few vacation days (we have just a week) to use up! We know there'll be other trips, but we want to make the most of this first one. We've been advised to do the touristy Golden Triangle thing, but nothing is set in stone yet. Would love some suggestions, Beth - I've already gotten some inspiration from your travel blog. And thanks so much for the advice.
@t-hype: I know, I'm jealous of myself! LOL (well not really LOL but smiling) Will definitely keep everyone updated!
Wow, when are you coming? Any plans to look up Hyderabad - then I can take you around......
Yes....I am mega excited and i really hope we can get tons of suggestions cos frankly we are a bit overwhelmed and lost at the same time. LOL. Wouldnt it be fantastic to bump into a Bollwood star and get pics? I am trading in my old camera for a more reliable model this year as well...specifically for this trip
@aparna: You're such a sweetheart to offer to show us round Hyderabad. We have no itinerary yet, but beware! We just might take you up on it. Thanks.
@uzo: My dear o! All excitement, but we really are lost, aren't we? Been looking at the money angle - anyway will text you on that tip.
I am also going to India for my girlfriend's sister's wedding.. I am soo looking forward to it.. cool..
Hey ms zee, have a great time when you go! When are you going?
how cool; I have some requests so please keep me posted!
Sounds very exciting. Should provide lots of blogging fodder.
@nanya: Of course I will dear... but emm.. how do I say this? Let's keep this between us... I'm pretty sure you know why.
@alan: I am so excited - the big challenge will be saving up enough to go - but I'm definitely working hard towards it.
You lucky thing! I"m determined to go to India this Octber to see my friend's wedding...i should make it but i'm scared some big expense will come in and blow all my plans away! But have fun!
