I really love the feel of a lot of the oldies - this one is cute - I think you'd like it. The Hollywood flick is really good too - I watch much more Bollywood than Hollywood these days but I try to make time for the ones with really good reviews. I should probably warn you, though - 'Happyness' is set in the 80s...

@sanket: First off, thanks for the birthday wishes - I love that you put them in hindi. I've heard a lot about the newer 'Golmaal', and nothing about the HM one - thanks for stirring up my curiosity. I love 'Abhimaan' sooo much - I love HM's films - they're so distinctive. I haven't seen a disappointing one yet.

@cow tse tung: Thanks - your blog is just insane (I mean that in the nicest possible way) - since I discovered it this morning, I have been unable to stop myself from returning several times to look at your older posts, and I am totally horrified yet totally fascinated. I love that combination. HM is a master at this type of movie although my favorite comedy he did was Gol Maal (the original one with Amol Palekar). My favorite HM movie? Abhimaan, hands down. By the way - Janam Din Mubarak (Happpy Birthday:)Sanket Vyashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00410998671085464946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36123519.post-15800745150478895562007-02-19T22:40:00.000+01:002007-02-19T22:40:00.000+01:00Happy belated Birthday! Wow, its been forever since I've seen a Hollywood film, this is one I'll have to check out upon your suggestion! At first when I glanced at the title of this post, I got all giddy because I thought it said "Chup Chupke" the comedy starring Shahid and Kareena...but then I realized its actually an older film...I have to admit I'm awry about watching older films, mostly because of the clothing and hairstyles (LOL, I know I'm superficial) he he...but this one seems worth checking out. Thanks for the indirect recommendations!Angela G.
